Final Reminders and Pieces of Information

  • View the Itinerary For The Entire Trip HEREWe're excited about the overall design of this program. Lots of moving parts! Please note that the exact schedule may shift a bit as the departure date approaches, and even once the students are overseas. But this will give you a good idea of the group's experience.
  • Nature Air Flight Information between San Jose and Puerto Jimenez: this specific information is not on the itinerary
    • March 28th: San Jose to Puerto Jimenez: Nature Air Flight 143 (11:15 - 11:55am)
    • April 6th: Puerto Jimenez to SanJose: Nature Air Flight Flight 3111 (7:50 - 8:40am)
  • Airport Meeting Time: Avianca Airlines is in Terminal 2 at LAX.  The flight leaves at 1:40 AM and we plan on meeting at 10:30 PM (Sunday evening).  This should give us plenty of time to get through security.  Make sure students bring a healthy snack for when they get to Costa Rica.
  • Emergency Numbers. Parents who have an emergency message should first call 303-679-3412 (toll-free 1-888-831-8109) or 303-619-1835. These are both 24-hour numbers and we will relay the message onto the group immediately. Routine messages can also be called into the same number during the day or send an email to World Leadership School.  In the case of an emergency, we will contact the emergency contact listed on the student’s application form.
  • Medication Policy. We ask that any medications be put in a ziplock bag with your child's name on the bag, the name of the medication and instructions on how to administer. You can hand this to us at the airport.
  • View the Prepare to Go HERE, which contains critical information about the trip. Thank you in advance for reviewing this information with your son or daughter. As a reminder, we ask that students:
    • Students may bring their cell phone for the airplane but in the spirit of an "unplugged" experience; they will be collected from the students once we land and returned for our flight home.
    • We are on a red eye flight and encourage students to sleep since we will be on the go as soon as we get to San Jose.
    • Remember to wear long pants and closed-toed shoes when outside the dorm, which greatly reduces the incidence of insect and other bites, sunburn and cuts to the feet.
    • Closed toed shoes should be worn at all times at night!
  • T-Shirts: They have arrived and will be handed out in the next few days.  They are to be worn during travel days.
